Camping

We finally got to go camping on the Grand Mesa last weekend. Magical as always. One of my most favorite places in the whole world.

Darby Margo

I mentioned before that my sister Liz had her baby in January along with my cousin Rachel a few days later. Thanks to my sisters request I finally got some pictures of Darby (other then phone pictures) She wanted some mommy/baby pictures so we had a nice afternoon of picture taking and eating homemade carrot cake :)
Darby was such a trooper for putting up with us for so long and Everett was being so good the whole time (besides a blonde blur in a few pictures). Cake is a great incentive for a 3 year old.

Moab

I'm so lucky to live in a place thats so close to such diverse and beautiful places. Driving 1 or 2 hours any direction is some of the most amazing places. Moab is one of those many places. I'm honestly not a huge fan of a lot of Utah (mainly driving through on the highway can be the most boring thing) But there's some hidden gems all over Utah that will leave you an awe. If only the amazingness could be captured on camera... but here's my attempt.

Embroidered Mittens

A while back my Grandma taught me how to do Brazilian Embroidery. I love doing it and have so much fun with it but I'm trying to figure out uses for it other then pieces of fabric that lay around. So here's my first attempt at trying it on something useful. Hopefully I can find more things so I can keep up on it. Brazilian Embroidery is one of those things that you can't stop practicing or you'll forget everything!

A Weekend In Ouray

Every year for the super bowl my family goes to the Ouray Hot Springs Pool because a lot of us don't really care for the game and we get the pool all to ourselves.
However this year was a little weird. My sister had just had my new baby niece a couple days before and my cousin had just had her baby and on top of that my sister-in-law's birthday landed on the same day as the super bowl and was doing a party with her family and my brother had just left back to Washington. So long story short, it was only my parents and I that could go this year. We decided to get a hotel for the night instead of just staying for the day since it was just us three.
We stayed at Box Canyon Inn which has their own hot springs. But instead of a pool they have big barrels up the side of the mountain to soak in. I stayed there when I was younger, but I honestly didn't remember how cool it was. We also went to see all the ice climbers at Box Canyon Falls and went to The Ouray Brewery (which I highly recommend).

Doggie Backpacks

I'm starting on Christmas presents, but can't post any pictures until after Christmas :( But considering none of my nieces or nephews have no idea how to use the internet, I can at least post their gifts. I made EIGHT of these pups for all the little kiddos in my family. Each one of them has a different inside pattern that reminds me of them. They're kinda special cause it's all vintage fabric from my sisters Great-Grandmother-in-law. They were pretty easy, but took some time since I had to make so many. So I have a huge weight off my shoulders by finishing these!

Twist Wrap Dress

I'm not crazy about  the color, but this dress is so fun that I think I  can live with it. I saw  this dress HERE. It was so cool so I made on for myself :)
It's pretty much a skirt with two really long pieces of fabric attached to the front. It was pretty easy and I want to make more now in some prettier colors!
The options are endless! Pretty much love these.
